Aftercare Program Descriptions

The Extended Day Program offers a unique environment for students to join with their peers in developing their gifts and talents. The program also provides an opportunity for students to develop specialized skills, study habits,and a servant’s heart. Through sports, handiwork, and strategy games, students expand both their life skills and their appreciation for teamwork. Students also establish routines for homework, understanding the importance of reviewing new material, and devoting time to daily study.

Explorers' Bridge Program

For Explorers One and Two students, offered Monday through Friday from 12:30-3:00 pm. At 12:30 students eat lunch together and rest.  After lunch, students enjoy play and enrichment activities, such as nature walks, read aloud time, silent reading, music enjoyment, handwork and dramatic arts.  Students will also devote a part of each afternoon to homework activities. The Bridge period gives time for students to enjoy some of their favorite scholastic activities in a more informal setting.  Students also appreciate having more time to spend in play and in exploration with their classmates.

*Note: Explorers One students are not eligible for programs after 3:00pm.  Explorers Two students are eligible to participate in programs after 3:00pm only in hardship situations.

Drop-In Program

For Lower and Middle School students, offered Monday through Thursday* from 3:00-4:30pm.  Students will share a snack, and then have time to work on homework.  To ensure proper supervision, any child who is not picked up by 3:10 will be automatically put into the Drop-In Program  and charged the drop-in rate.  Drop-in billing is mailed at the end of each month. 

*Note: Friday Drop-In (3:00 to 4:30)  is available if there is sufficient demand by parents.  Please let us know if this is of interest to you. Additionally, If there is sufficient demand by parents, we will offer a study hall from 4:30-6:00pm on Monday through Thursday.
