Extended Day Policies

Enrollment and Billing
  • Trimester fees:  Paid in advance or billed monthly.

  • Drop-in Fees:  Billed monthly.

Drop-In Policy

Drop-ins (students who are not signed-up for the program for the entire trimester) are permitted for the Explorers Bridge and Lower/Middle School After-School Drop-In.  Drop-ins will work on their homework, which is checked at 4:00.  (If homework is completed correctly, the student then plays quietly or reads.)

Pick-Up
  • Pick-up for after-school clubs/drop-in is at 4:30.

  • Signing In and Out: The Extended Day teacher will sign in students who are enrolled in the program each afternoon.

  • Late Pick-Up Policy: Pick-ups that occur after 4:35 will be charged a late fee of $5 for every 5 minutes late.

  • Carpool Policies: As with regular pick-up, if there is a change in carpool arrangements, the school must be notified by both parents involved in the change.

    • Parents have the option of parking early and coming in to see the end of a club, but they need to sign out promptly at 4:30 and depart to allow club teachers time to clean up.  Parents who wish to come early must enter the building by 4:00 (when the office closes).

Inclement Weather and Half Days
  • If the school is closed for inclement weather, all clubs for that day will be canceled that day as well. 

  • On half-days (days that all students, E1-C8, are dismissed at 12:30) there will not be any Explorers Bridge, After-School Clubs, or After-School Drop-In Program.

Discipline

The policies in our Parent-Student Handbook apply to the Extended Day program.

Bridge Program Lunch

Explorers students participating in the Bridge program bring their own lunch from home.

Snack

We will provide a healthy snack every day after 3:05 dismissal (before the beginning of club time, except runners who will snack after their run), at no additional cost.
