MS Boys Lacrosse
All middle school students may participate. Boys and girls practice and compete separately. Teams compete against area schools. The goal of the program is to develop skills for players of all levels. Beginners are needed and are encouraged to play. Boys are required to provide their own pads, and all students need to provide their own equipment.
Season: March 6 - May 26
Practice: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 3:15 - 4:45pm
Coach Scott Kuppe
Scott Kuppe grew up in Pennington, NJ, playing lacrosse, soccer, and basketball with two very competitive brothers. At Hopewell Valley Central High School he played varsity lacrosse for 4 years and participated in two state finals for soccer. For college, Scott attended Carnegie Mellon University, playing varsity soccer and receiving a degree in Economics.
Upon graduation he went abroad to Japan with his wife, Alisa, to do youth ministry. His love of sports led to numerous coaching positions for middle school and high school teams at Canadian Academy in Kobe, Japan.
Scott now lives in Hopewell with his family of 5 and is very involved with Soccer Shots, an intro-to-soccer program for 2-8-year-old children. He stays active and loves playing with his kids or in adult leagues. He has valued being involved with the Wilberforce School and witnessing the incredible growth the school, the students, and the athletic program have achieved.
