Coach Inez McGowan

Inez McGowan was born in Rome, Italy, and attended the American Overseas School of Rome before moving to the U.S. She attended the the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur in Pennsylvania for middle school and high school, where she competed on the field hockey, lacrosse, and tennis teams.

She earned her B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross and her J.D. from Temple University School of Law. Before staying home to raise her children, Inez was a litigation attorney at Blank Rome LLP, working across their Washington, DC and Philadelphia offices.

A dedicated athlete and coach, Inez and her husband, Dan, have spent countless hours on the fields and courts, supporting and instructing their three children in tennis, lacrosse, basketball, and football.

Since 2017, she has been an active member of the Wilberforce community, serving as PTF Treasurer, Class Parent, Parent Ambassador, and a Lower School substitute teacher. As Middle School Girls Lacrosse Coach, she is dedicated to developing her athletes’ lacrosse skills and instilling teamwork, leadership, and a love for the game. She strives to promote a spirit of excellence on her team all for the glory of God.
