Stars & Stripes Ballet
Come celebrate our country and July 4th at our Stars and Stripes ballet course! This course will introduce a neo-classical ballet, which was created in 1958 by George Balanchine. Activities will include a warm-up, technique, choreography, creative movement and a final performance on our last day. Dancers will learn about this era of dance, as well as cover the patriotic music of John Philip Sousa. The students will dance excerpts from Stars and Stripes and also work on their own choreography, which will encourage self-expression and build their confidence. They will also create special artwork for their performance. On Friday, parents are invited to an informal performance to see what we have created!
