Aruna (Dolly) David; Board Chairman


Dolly works part-time at Flatworld Solutions, Inc. She graduated with a degree in Electronics and holds an MBA from Loyola Institute of Business Administration, Chennai, India in Human Resources and Information Technology. She was involved with corporate and academic training with a leading technical training institute, and worked as a HR consultant and trainer for global IT companies. She has facilitated Bible and book studies at Princeton Alliance Church, where her family worships. Her two boys are currently at Wilberforce. She was also involved with the Sunday school at her church in India where she was a worship leader and helped introduce the AWANA methodology and curriculum.


David Rowe

David is Pastor at Hope Presbyterian Church in Lawrenceville. He is also a Lecturer in Practical Theology at Westminster Theological Seminary, Philadelphia. David and his wife Awilda are two of the co-founders of The Wilberforce School, and are the parents of two Upper School students. David is graduate of Ithaca College. David worked in the media at the ABC Radio Networks, and in television at ABC Entertainment for almost 15 years. It was during this period that David was invited to Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Manhattan in 1994, and came under the power of both the Spirit and the gospel that fall. He left broadcasting in 1997 to attend Westminster Theological Seminary in the Master of Divinity/Counseling program. David was ordained in 2004, and was Associate Pastor at Westerly Road Church (now Stone Hill Church) for five years.


Howe Whitman, Jr., Board Member (Ex Officio)

Howe Whitman, Jr. is Head of The Wilberforce School. He and his wife, Brenda, have four children, all of whom attend or have graduated from TWS. They are also co-founders of TWS. Howe worked for many years in real estate development and investment, for the JBG Companies in Washington, DC, and as President of Canterbury Properties in Princeton. Before his work in real estate, he served as executive assistant to Chuck Colson, the founder and Chairman of Prison Fellowship Ministries. He holds a BA from the Woodrow Wilson School of Princeton University and an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Daniel Brox

Daniel is a member of Hope Presbyterian Church in Lawrenceville, NJ. He joined the Wilberforce board in 2013 and currently has two children in the Wilberforce lower school. Daniel began his career as a consultant with Accenture in Chicago. In 1999, he joined ZS Associates, a global sales and marketing consulting firm. In 2011, he was elected as a Principal and Partner in the firm. Daniel graduated magna cum laude from the University of Nebraska in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics with minors in Economics and Political Science.


Russ Nixon

Russ is currently Sr. Vice President for Advancement at Cairn University. Russ and his wife Linda have two adult sons. Russ brings his many years of experience in Christian education, leadership and development to the TWS board. He has served in Christian education for 31 years. Russ graduated from Messiah College and received his master’s degree from Temple University. Before coming to Cairn University, Russ served at Delaware County Christian School, first as Athletic Director and later as Director of Advancement.


Stephen McLean, Jr.

Steve currently serves as Treasurer and Vice President of Corporate Development at the WIRB-Copernicus Group, a clinical trials services and technology company based in Princeton. Earlier in his career, Steve was involved corporate development and mergers and acquisitions for several energy, mining, and natural resources companies based in the Midwest and Canada. Steve currently serves as a worship leader at Jacob’s Well Community Church. Steve and his wife Sarah have four young children. He earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. Steve joined the Wilberforce board in 2016.


Carolee VanDervort

Carolee currently works as an elementary science teacher and is a member of Tenth Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia, where she and her husband Judd have taught first grade in the Bible school program for many years. They have a graduate and an Upper School student at TWS. Carolee has been actively involved at TWS in many school sponsored programs and fundraisers. She began her career as a classroom teacher, and then worked for ten years as a reading tutor for Cooper Health Systems where she gained advanced training in several Orton-Gillingham based reading programs. Carolee enjoys developing inquiry-based curricula, staying abreast of best practices in the field of education and in developing her gardening and plant propagation skills. She has earned a Bachelors of Science in Elementary and Special Education and a Masters of Education in Guidance and Counseling.

Beverly Reynolds:

Beverly is a member of Calvary Chapel Crossfields in Jamesburg, NJ. She and her husband, Bryan, have two sons attending Wilberforce, in the Middle and Upper Schools. Beverly served as the CFO of Sitrol Technologies, a company she and Bryan built in 2000 and sold in 2013. She is now the CFO of Docxonomy, a new data science company built by the Reynolds. Beverly enjoys traveling and is passionate about mission work in Jamaica. She has served on the Wilberforce PTF board for three years.
