MS Boys LAX vs The Pennington School

MS Boys LAX vs The Pennington School

The second meeting of the season for The Wilberforce School and The Pennington School did not disappoint. The Pennington School had the home field advantage and fought hard on attack, midfield, defense, and in goal. They were a formidable opponent and were more challenging than in the first encounter.

In an incredible defensive performance Jeremy Lee and Raymond Carr frustrated The Pennington School’s attack. Gabe Cleere had a career game allowing just one goal while racking up save after save. Aaron Szeliga and Will Reardon gave 110% and provided additional support on defense, often running the ball up themselves, and creating transition plays that led to opportunities downfield. Our middies controlled the game from start to finish. Vincent Mogck was a force to be reckoned with, hustling from end to end, winning ground balls, and advancing the ball though incredible individual efforts, or by finding open teammates. Caed Wilson and Donald MacQueen were unstoppable at faceoffs and inspired the team with incredible physical performances. Robert MacQueen and Camilo Cobena also contributed to the midfield’s dominance throughout the game. On attack the combo of Josh Nowak, Josiah Tobey, and Tim MacQueen was too much for The Pennington School to handle.

Josh and Josiah both netted, while Tim, along with Thomas Aussermeier provided support and gave their defenders more than they could handle. Owen Lee also put in an incredible performance, both through great offensive plays and through defensive efforts.

Every single Wolverine contributed to this hard-earned win.
