Wilberforce Boys Soccer Makes TWS History with First NJSIAA Tournament Win!
Wilberforce US Boys soccer took a historic step forward in their first showing at the NJSIAA Non-Public B state tournament on Monday night. The Wolverines entered the tournament as the last seed (#13 of 13 teams), but on Monday surprised the St. Joseph Academy home crowd by allowing only one goal in the first half and scoring one goal themselves. During the second half, the Wolverines, led by Senior Captains Philip Schidlovsky and Michael Chadehumbe and Junior Captain, Patrick Wilson, turned up the heat, scoring 4 consecutive and unanswered goals to beat the #4 seed in a final score of 5-1! The Wolverines will advance to their next match in the tournament, where they will face either The Ranney School or Noor-Ul-Iman (NUI) in the quarterfinal round. Go Wolverines!
