November Gathering

When: Thursday, November 13th, 8:15-9:15am

Where: Lower School Art Room (Building One, Room 15)

Description: Join us Thursday, November 13th, as Wilberforce parent Rachael McKee shares how a book called God and Money: How We Discovered True Riches at Harvard Business School radically shifted her family’s views on generosity. We invite you to be a part of the discussion about spending, saving and serving mindsets; how to help your children build generosity-focused habits; and the journey that the authors took to stop considering how much they should give and instead begin asking how much they should keep.

A Message from the Chair

Chair: Kai Jepson
Kai and her husband have five children, two who have graduated from The Wilberforce School, two in the Upper School, and one in the Middle School.  They moved to the area seven years ago in order for their children to continue their education at a classical, Christian school through their high school years.  Kai has served as a PTF Board member for the past five years, served as the Co-Chair last year, and is honored to serve as the Chair of the PTF this year.

Kai welcomes all families to attend and participate in PTF events, and to take advantage of the opportunities to serve throughout the school year.  She looks forward to getting to know you, and warmly welcomes you into deeper fellowship as part of our wonderful Wilberforce community.
 
Role of the PTF Chair: The primary responsibility of the PTF Chair is to serve as a liaison between The Wilberforce School and its families, and to oversee all aspects and affairs of the PTF, including providing volunteer opportunities for the Wilberforce community.  The PTF Chair works with the PTF Board members to plan and execute community events including the New Mothers’ Tea, an annual Fall Festival, Book Fair, and PTF Monthly Gatherings featuring informative topics and engaging speakers, as well as fun activities and opportunities for fellowship.  In addition, the PTF supports teachers and staff with weekly prayer, an annual Christmas Luncheon, birthday celebrations, and Teacher Appreciation Week.  The PTF also supports monthly CanaVox discussions and monthly PTF Book Group meetings.  The PTF Chair communicates the logistics of these events and gatherings to the school at large, bringing the community together.
