A Message from the Chair

Chair: Kerry Ann Gilmour

Kerry Ann and her husband have one child in the Lower School at Wilberforce and happily make the 45-minute commute each day to provide their daughter with a classical education rooted in the truth, goodness, and beauty of Christ. Kerry Ann has served on the PTF Board for the past four years, most recently as Co-Chair, and is grateful for the opportunity to serve as Chair for the 2026–2027 academic year.

Kerry Ann believes that while we choose a school to help form our children, through God’s providence, we are also formed by the communities we become part of. At Wilberforce, she has experienced firsthand the blessing of working alongside other Christian families and faculty for the good of our children and the flourishing of the whole school community.

She finds great joy in serving others and in helping foster a spirit of unity among Wilberforce families as we accompany one another in the intellectual, spiritual, and moral formation of our children. As Chair, Kerry Ann hopes to create opportunities for families to connect, grow, and enjoy one another’s company through monthly PTF meetings, book club, CanaVox gatherings, special events, and guest speakers.

In her role, Kerry Ann will serve as a bridge between the school and its families, helping to foster clear communication and a strong sense of community. She warmly invites every family to take part in the life of the school, to share their gifts generously, and to grow together in faith, charity, and fellowship throughout the year.

Role of the PTF Chair: The primary responsibility of the PTF Chair is to serve as a liaison between The Wilberforce School and its families, and to oversee all aspects and affairs of the PTF, including providing volunteer opportunities for the Wilberforce community. The PTF Chair works with the PTF Board members to plan and execute community events including the New Mothers’ Tea, an annual Fall Festival, Book Fair, and PTF Monthly Gatherings featuring informative topics and engaging speakers, as well as fun activities and opportunities for fellowship. In addition, the PTF supports teachers and staff with weekly prayer, an annual Christmas Luncheon, birthday celebrations, and Teacher Appreciation Week. The PTF also supports monthly CanaVox discussions and monthly PTF Book Group meetings. The PTF Chair communicates the logistics of these events and gatherings to the school at large, bringing the community together.
