Track and Field Shines at State Championships!
Congratulations to Stella Blanchard, who won the 400m State Title with a school-record time of 57.99! Stella also placed 2nd in the 200m with a personal record (PR) of 26.76, and took bronze in the 800m with another PR of 2:19.75—qualifying her for the Meet of Champions in both the 200m and 400m.
Laura Sallade had an outstanding weekend as well, finishing 2nd in the 800m with a PR and new school record of 2:15.24, and capturing 2nd in the 1600m with a time of 5:04.78.
Stella and Laura joined forces with Adeline Edwards and Gwen Mersereau to win the State Title in the Girls 4x400 relay, advancing to the Meet of Champions this Wednesday.
Incredibly, our small but mighty team of just five girls (including Emily Prothero) placed 3rd overall out of 22 teams!
