Wilberforce Runners Shine at DREAM Park Invitational

Congratulations to our Wilberforce cross country teams on an exciting and successful day at the Bob Kiessling Invitational 2025 at DREAM Park! Both teams demonstrated outstanding teamwork and perseverance in preparation for the upcoming State Championships.

The girls’ team earned an impressive 2nd place finish out of 5 teams, coming just behind one of the top programs in the state, Paul VI. Medal winners included Laura Sallade (4th) and Stella Blanchard (5th), with strong performances from Emily Prothero (12th), Stella Tobey (23rd), and Joy Yao (43rd). The team placed 15th overall in a merge of all group sectionals that day, out of 49 teams. Laura’s time of 18:39 ranked among the top 10 times of the day, and both Laura and Stella achieved Milesplit US Second Team standards—an outstanding accomplishment!

The boys’ team also had an excellent day, with major personal records from their top runners. Elias Edwards medaled with a 9th place finish (17:09), followed by Caed Wilson (17:47, 16th), Henry Jepson (17:53, 18th), Nick Szeto (39th), and Luke Young (45th). Their efforts secured a 3rd place team finish out of 8 teams, making both the boys’ and girls’ teams the top-finishing Non-Public B schools of the day.

Well done, Wolverines! Your hard work, discipline, and teamwork continue to honor God and represent Wilberforce with excellence.
